Giving

"“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

Malachi 3:10

Why Give?

There are many reasons why you might want to give to the church.

It is an act of Worship

As Christians, we believe everything we have comes from God. Although we may not always feel rich, in comparison to many people in this world we have in such an incredible abundance! So giving becomes a part of our worship, as we give back to God out of the abundance he has give to us, with grateful and cheerful hearts.

It is a command

For Christians it is not just something we should do as worship, it is a command. The Bible passage in this pages banner remind us of that. giving isnt always easy but it is a spiritual discipline which we must train ourselves in.

We use it for good

During 2018 through fund raising and giving these three churches gave away ______ , in 2019 we gave away _______. this money was given to local and national charities to support their important work and to the local school.

We also run a number of very valuable projects in our community such as our immersive schools project, supporting the arts with our arts festival, we have coffee and chat mornings, a library, parent and toddler group, a helping hands group, and more; click here to see details.

We are there for anyone

whether you are known to us as a church or not, we are here to serve and support anyone who asks us for help, in any way we can.

We are caring for your heritage

Eweeny Priory is over 900 years old and St Bridget's Church is very close behind. These churches are a part of all of our history whether we are Christian or not. There is a great interest from those who do not regularly attend church to see these churches preserved. we have a visitor books in each of the churches and we have people from all over the word coming to these out of the way buildings to visit. People also want to know that they can still come to them for weddings, funerals, or as somewhere to just come and sit. Caring for these buildings however is not cheap and we need all the help we can get!

How to give

There are a few different ways to give. depending on whether you want to give on a regular basis or give a one off donation.

Direct Giving

This is for those who want to set up regular giving. We do encourage all our members to give in this way. it enables us to plan how to use our resources and it means we get a steady income. So if you would like to set up direct giving then please follow this link to the Church in Wales website where you can now set it up online.

Give by Text

By giving in this way you can give a one off donation to the wider parish. All donations received using this system will be divided between the 12 churches of the Glamorgan heritage coast parish. To give, all you need to do is text 'give X' to (the number that will be added here within the next week or so) replacing the X with the amount you want to give. this will then be added onto your phone bill.

Give Online

This is for those who want to make a one off donation and all money given using this system will be divided between the three west end churches this website serves. giving in this way couldn't be simpler, just complete the form below.
